Writing Prompt Generator
Click here to go to a site that generates writing prompts for scholars to practice their writing. In second grade, we use the "RACE" writing model.
R - Restate the question
A - Answer the question
C - Cite Evidence
E - Explain how the evidence supports the answer
For example, if the prompt is, "What is your favorite ice cream?" a scholarly answer would be:
My favorite ice cream is chocolate ice cream. I like the way it is sweet and reminds me of a chocolate bar. Chocolate ice cream is my favorite because it makes me happy when I eat it!"
